Welcome to
When I do powder bath renovations they are typically part of a larger project. I only photograph the parts of that project that I have done completely including furnishings. For this project we made a bunch of changes around the house. We added shiplap to an office and back hall area, we created beams for interest in the family room, we added drapery in several bedrooms, and recovered pieces of furniture. While all of this was going on we renovated the powder bath. The bathroom is the only part of this project I will be sharing with you.
Unfortunately, I never took pictures of the space before we started. It was a blank room. There was a vanity that had been there when the homeowners purchased the house and the walls were painted white. It was large for a powder bath. This gave us a great backdrop to work with to create a dream space.
The client really wanted a show stopper bathroom. We decided a stone, floating vanity would be gorgeous in here. We found the most beautiful black granite that looked like marble. It can handle lots of abuse, but will remain beautiful.
When a vanity is built like this, a frame is created for the stone to sit on. Here is a picture of that process.
To get the atmosphere desired we added custom colored wallpaper to the walls and found a complimentary grasscloth for the ceiling.
The wallpaper on the walls is spectacular. Adding the wallpaper to the ceiling added depth as well as warmth to the bathroom.
We replaced all the lighting with modern back sconces.
and the faucet with a beautiful polished nickel one.
The mirror was an old one the client had in her basement. She wanted to use it, but was waiting for the perfect place. This was it.
The end result was exactly what the client wanted and what we had imagined. It’s a show stopper, now.
If you’re looking to do work on your house and need some help, give us a call. We can make the process more enjoyable and easier with us managing it for you.
