The Most Inspiring Interiors for the Month of August
How is Summer almost over? I feel like it just got started. School is getting ready to start back if it hasn’t already for some of you. I took a bit of a break from blogging and decided to jump right back in with my favorite pins. Spending so much time at home has me thinking about outdoor spaces, constantly. It seems for my family that everything we have been doing revolves around the outdoors. Here’s what I love this season!
Isn’t this divine? The white wicker chairs combined with the dark table is striking, comfy and cozy at the same time. It makes me want to sit down with my family for a meal. And those dark doors with the white brick look heavenly.
I would love this spot in my house! A covered porch with beautiful wicker pieces and an outdoor cooking area. Perfect for entertaining family. It has all the comforts of being inside, but lets you breath in that fresh air. I can just see myself cooking up a meal or two.
I love those chairs! That’s the first thing that caught my eye. The shape and color that blend into the landscape. They’re plastic, too! Easy to wipe and clean. Combined with all the wood elements and banquette seat it’s a win! Did you notice that dark dreamy wall? It adds some beautiful warmth to the space.
Such a charming spot! I love the grey shingled home with the brick patio. It feels like you’re on Cape Cod! The white wicker and Adirondack chairs picks up the white house trim. The blue and white umbrella provide some shade to sit under on those hot days. The landscaping crawling up the side of the house adds to the charm.
I may not have pinned everything for the outdoors, but I definitely pinned letting the outdoors in. I absolutely love this bathroom for so many reasons, but the top one being those large, wide picture windows. It looks as though you can see for miles and what you get to see is spectacular! The black trim adds to the architectural detail of the space.
I think you can tell what I’ve been doing a lot of during the summer months and that’s eating. I keep pinning dining setups whether they’re outdoors on inside. With this space, I just love those cream, linen, full length, drapes. They frame those huge windows and bring so much warmth to the kitchen. Simply gorgeous!
Now, here’s a laundry room with a view. I love that Dutch door that allows you to get fresh air and a peak outside. I can just imagine a child or neighbor dropping by and having a conversation with me. I could also just stare out of it for a long time. Laundry rooms can be so dull and boring. This one is nowhere near that. The patterned floors remind me of long ago home and the blue folding table adds a ton of charm. I also love the blue trim with the white walls. May have to spend my day in here!
This just feels like summertime, doesn’t it? Like a beach or lake house bunk room. A fun spot for a bunch of kids to hang and spend time together. It’s been a difficult year to do that based on Covid, but we can hope for next year. I love the crisp clean of the white walls and light floor combined with the blue in the wallpaper and on the beds. It picks up on the ocean or lake that’s hopefully right outside the door.
Ok, now this one takes the cake for me! I just love that pebbled path with the pine picnic table and cloth thrown over it. The umbrella provides an escape from the heat and humidity. The boxwoods and flowers are the perfect company for the actual people you invite over. I mean, could anything be more perfect?
This is a great pin to end this post by wishing I could go grab a drink right now out on that deck. Makes you feel like you’re in a different place. You could be on vacation or maybe in an actual restaurant with the bar set up like this. It’s the perfect escape for what is going on in the world right now.
Hoping everyone stays safe and well! Keep pinning!
