A Mother’s Refuge was a turnkey furnishing project for a brand-new townhome, thoughtfully designed as a welcoming space for our client’s mother—but with the client’s own refined, artistic sensibilities woven throughout. A renowned New York-based artist (painting portraits of many influential people, including Michelle Obama) , the client gave us full creative freedom to bring her vision to life, allowing for thoughtful pops of color, layered styling, and comfort in every detail. We furnished and styled every space—from the three bedrooms, living and dining areas, and kitchen to the powder bath, which we elevated with wallpaper and a statement mirror. Even the smallest essentials were considered, with complete outfitting of the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The result is a beautifully curated home that balances softness and sophistication—a space that feels deeply personal, completely livable, and ready to be enjoyed by both mother and daughter alike.
